Dr. Lynn Owens graduated cum laude from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, now the Southern California University of Health Sciences, in 1990, and was a member of the Delta Sigma Honorary Scholastic Society. She has been in private practice in Riverside and then San Diego since 1990.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1976 from Augustana College in Illinois and worked for many years as a microbiologist. As a biologist, she recognized that the integrity of the nervous system is fundamental for optimum health. She studied the mechanism of the vertebrae as the protective housing of the spinal cord and nerves, and how abnormal positioning of the vertebrae can compromise the nerve flow, thereby compromising the body’s functioning, and incidentally, many times causing pain.
In her practice, Dr. Lynn Owens integrates different techniques of chiropractic. She specializes in non-force manipulative methods of correcting vertebral joint positioning.
She has received post-graduate training in Activator Methods, Craniopathy and Sacra-Occipital Technique. She currently practices in San Diego and is an Associated Faculty of the Southern California University of Health Sciences, Clinical Internship Division.
