I recently underwent a lumbar laminectomy to relieve spinal pain.  Although the surgery was successful, I soon discovered that I had post surgical pain, mainly in my upper left thigh.  My doctor told me that it would subside over time and with exercise, but after a couple of months of following the doctor’s orders, I did not have any relief.  I thought the pain was something I would just have to live with.

I had a knee injury and was just hoping it would magically go away.  I have weak knees as a result of chemotherapy.  I rested by knee for a couple of months without any treatment.  Then I visited a dear friend who was in recovery from extensive knee surgery.  She advised me to go see a specialist.  I had a chose at that point to go the typical measures of x-rays, drugs, physical therapy and realized those methods have not been permanent fixes for many that I knew.
